Where the Weekend Went

Happy Monday! After a ridiculously busy week/weekend I finally had a chance to get some rest (via an accidental 5 hour nap...opps) and am ready to attack this week like the obviously predatory butterfly that attacked me last week. True story ya'll, those things are ferocious.

Saturday was the culmination of all afore mentioned busyness as I had the chance to attend some very cool events, the first one being at Behind The Scenes, a great new boutique here in Minneapolis. "Beauty & Brains" featured personal shopping, skin consultations, hair consultations and make-up application. As if that wasn't wonderful enough, the soiree collected donations for Dress for Success, a non-profit that promotes "the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life." Cool store. Great cause. I'm in!

Among these racks I found the PERFECT summer shorts. You'll be seeing them come hot heat time.

So many donations - and the event wasn't even over yet!
Lots of spring spactacularness to choose from.

I was also invited to "Shop, Socialize, and Sip," an event to celebrate the launch of Nardo Wardrobe Consultants website. In addition, there were pieces on display and for sale by the new traveling men's consignment shop, William Park. Though I'm not a "mens" I still like to look - I have a soft spot for menswear, especially menswear done right!

The location. Full of Menswear coolness.
The selection featured many blazers and accessories with unique touches. I enjoyed seeing the little details that made the pieces stand out just the right amount.
Raynardo Williams and Justin Park of William Park                            Some William Park Blazers that were on hand

Premium Diva & Co Jewelry was there with some pieces for the ladies.
And, finally, for a few quick shots of my look for the night:

I opted for some printed pants and a nude heel. I went with black and neutrals to keep it simple and a red lip to add a bit of a kick.

I tried to run back up the escalator to get a better pic, but quickly found out that that's not the greatest idea in a 4 1/2 inch heel....

These were only 2 of many weekend activities. Was yours busy too?
