See & Be Seen

I dropped by one of my favorite art installations in Minneapolis. What makes it so cool, is that it is interactive. You are both observer and voyeur as the surface is both reflective and transparent at the same time. You can see and be seen, see what's in front of you and behind you. An interesting concept, no?

Hey! That chick is wearing the same thing as m....oh...wait...never mind.
Mirrors are tricky. I have, on occassion, walked by a mirror, caught my own reflection, and thought I was someone else (namely my mother). I shouldn't admit that. I just did. Oh well.

On this warm day, I donned a cropped top with a vintage circle skirt. Circle skirts tend to sit high on the waist as opposed to on the hips, so they are great for this type of top. It's showing skin in the most demure of ways. I like the concept of showing something, but nothing at all. A little mystery goes a long way.

Finish the simple look with an interesting shoe. Here I used my new favorite wedges. Full of floral fantasticness.

We ended the day on the steps of the museum across the way just as the sun was setting.

Clearly sad that the sun was going away. It came back the next day though, so I was ok.
What are your favorite ways to be daring and demure?

Crop top: American Apparel
Skirt: Vintage
Wedges: Aldo
Earrings: Forever 21
Bracelet: H&M
