Create

Life is full. I think we can probably all agree on that, no? (If you can't, I've got some stuff from my full life I'll gladly hand off to you so...let me know, K?). I've found, though, that when things get slightly overwhelming, it always makes me feel better, feel more at peace, when I am able to create. Being in a creative space always makes me feel at home. It makes me feel valuable. It makes me feel pretty freakin' super fantastic. It gives me that kind of joy that comes from somewhere down deep...somewhere in my gullet...up under my solar plexus.

Pensively pondering the exact location of said solar plexus...

I think it's important to remember that, besides creating "stuff", we also create moments for ourselves and moments that influence others. The way I like to think of it is, you shouldn't live according to others, but u should live according to the impact u have on others. We all influence, for better or worse. It's good to be mindful of the moments that we create.

I happened upon this hat and immediate thought it was dope. I love mixing tomboy type elements with "girly" ones - I'm a fan of the contrast. I wanted to do something straight forward but, at the same time, mix it up a bit - hence the shoes, which I fell deeply in love with the first time I saw them.

These created a moment for me - a moment of "ZOMG IneedMustHavesoPrettyyyyyyyyyy".

What gives you the most satisfaction? Creating moments (perhaps with a kind word or gesture) or creating stuff (perhaps life-size macaroni art)?
