The Weekender: Homegrown Hip Hop

I hope you all had an amazing 4th of July. And a great 5th and 6th, too. I was fortunate enough to hit up  Urban Green - the first free Saturday event at the Walker's Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. This Homegrown Hip Hip Hop event featured some of the Twin City's finest b-boys and b-girls, dope music, and good vibes. Not much to say about it besides it was dope. Check out some snaps from the event:

The hip hop community here is a strong one - I always love getting out and participating in events when I can. My favorite part is always the b-boys and b-girls. We have some of the dopest anywhere. Don't get me wrong, I love my salsa/urban fusion - but I still have secret aspirations to be a b-girl...which, I suppose, are not so secret anymore...

Are you a b-girl or b-boy?  DJ? Graffiti artist? A hip hop lover? Check in below and say what's up!
Also, if you know the folks in the above pics, feel free to shout 'em out!

And if you want to do some dancing of your own, check out the Salsa Workshop going down July 10th at Studiiyo23!!  I'd love to see ya there!
