Local Design

Sometimes living in a small, big city such as my own gets a little old. You feel like you've seen everything at least 18 1/2 times and been to the same places so much that everyone knows your name - though sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name - which is totally understandable. Even so, sometimes you discover that there is still uniqueness in familiarity. Enough waxing philosophic - click the jump for details...

I've seen this view 822,342 times (this could be hyperbole) but it's still pretty dope.
On a recent shopping trip to one of my favorite spots I discovered this great top from a brand I hadn't heard of before, so I looked into it. Turns out they are local to my city and each piece made is one of less than 25 total. That means you get something special no matter what you buy. I thought it was a pretty cool concept.

The neutral tone of the splatters on the shirt gave me a very fall vibe, so I decided it was time to break out the fall boots. Though there is a pattern on the shirt, the black and neutral tones could withstand some extra pazazz, so I thought the thigh highs with cool detail in the back would lend some extra cool.

Well friends, that's it for now. What kind of unique surprises exist in your city?
